You can enter the Raising Cane’s monthly drawing with no purchase at all. The official rules carry a postal route, and it goes into the same drawing as every receipt entry.
It costs a stamp. Almost nobody uses it, which is the interesting part.
Why it exists
Why is there a free entry route at all?
Because a prize draw that requires a purchase stops being a sweepstakes under US law and turns into something regulators treat very differently.
So sponsors build in an alternate method of entry. Raising Cane’s uses a posted card.
The practical effect is that the monthly drawing is open to anyone eligible, whether or not they have been to a restaurant.

How do I send a postal entry?
Write on a 3 inch by 5 inch card
Hand print your full name, street address, home telephone number, age and email address.
Use a street address, not a P.O. Box
The rules are explicit about this for the entrant’s own address. The P.O. Box below belongs to the administrator.

One entry of any kind counts per person per monthly period. Twelve cards across the year is the honest ceiling.
Check the current rules before you post. Sponsors change the required fields between periods, and a card missing one is a wasted stamp.

The one real difference is feedback. A posted card enters you in the drawing but tells Raising Cane’s nothing about a visit.
What not to try
Things that get postal entries thrown out
Typing and printing the card when the rules say hand print. Using a P.O. Box as your own address. Stuffing an envelope with cards under different names.
That last one is the fastest way to have every entry disqualified, and it is not subtle to spot.
One person, one card, one drawing. That is the whole rule.
Questions about entering without a purchase
Do I have to buy anything?
No. The official rules provide a free postal entry route with no purchase required.
Does a posted entry have worse odds?
No. Every eligible entry goes into the same monthly random drawing.
Can I type the card instead of writing it?
The rules say hand print. Follow that wording rather than testing it.
Why can’t I use a P.O. Box as my address?
The rules require a street address for the entrant. The P.O. Box in the address above is the administrator’s, not yours.
Will I get a confirmation?
No. Postal entries are not acknowledged, so post well before the month closes.
