Short answer: the Raising Cane’s survey has one reward, and it is a drawing, not a coupon. Each month one entrant wins “Free Cane’s for a Year” — a Raising Cane’s reward card good for three free Box Combo meals every calendar month for twelve months, approximate value $452.01. Everyone else gets nothing beyond having been heard.
Updated 15 September 2026 — the code expires in 3 days. Your receipt prints “(Expires in 3 days)” under the survey code. The official sweepstakes rules state no expiry period at all, so the receipt is the stricter source and the one to follow. Full detail on the three day window.
The prize
What exactly is “Free Cane’s for a Year”?
3 free Box Combos a monthfor 12 months — a Raising Cane’s reward card, one winner every month
- The official rules define it as a reward card “redeemable for three (3) free THE BOX COMBO® meals per calendar month” for a year.
- That is 36 Box Combos over the year — not one meal a day and not a cash prize.
- Approximate retail value $452.01. Meals not used in a month do not roll over.
- Not transferable, no cash option; any tax on the prize is the winner’s responsibility.
Winners
How many winners are there, and how often?
One winner per monthly drawing. Every calendar month is its own entry period, and the administrator, Million Dollar Media, LLC, draws one winner at random on or about the second Monday of the following month. Your odds depend on how many eligible entries that month received; the rules do not publish a number.
Common misunderstanding
Is there an instant reward, coupon or validation code?
No. Raising Cane’s survey does not hand out a free chicken finger, a free drink, a percentage off or a validation code to write on the receipt. Pages that list such “instant rewards” for this survey are copying the format of other chains’ programs.
If you complete the survey and see no coupon at the end, nothing went wrong — that is how it works.
Entering
How do I get entered in the drawing?
Finish the survey and, on the final screens, agree to enter and provide the contact details the administrator needs. If you decline, your feedback is still submitted but you are not in the drawing.
Receipt code
Complete the survey at raisingcanes.com/survey with the code from an in-restaurant receipt and opt in at the end. Step by step.
App order email
After a purchase in the Raising Cane’s app you may receive an emailed survey invitation. Completing it and opting in counts as your entry.
Mail-in, no purchase
A hand-printed 3″ × 5″ card to P.O. Box 278, Woodbridge, NJ 07095. Card format and deadlines are on the main guide.
Rules
How many entries can one person have?
One per person per monthly drawing, combining every method. Ten receipts in a month still make one entry. Entering under different names, emails or addresses to get around this can disqualify all of your entries under the rules.
Who can win?
| Requirement | What the official rules say |
|---|---|
| Age | 18 or older at the time of entry. |
| Residency | Legal residents of the 50 United States, the District of Columbia or Guam. Puerto Rico is excluded. |
| Excluded | Employees, officers and directors of Raising Cane’s, the administrator and their related companies, and their immediate household members. |
| Prize terms | Not transferable, no cash substitution; the sponsor may substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the card becomes unavailable. |
Winning
How is the winner notified, and what do they have to do?
By phone or email, using the details given at the end of the survey (or on the mail-in card). The winner must sign and return a liability waiver and publicity release within two days of the notice. Miss that window and the prize is forfeited and another entry is drawn. The prize is not transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
Not the same thing
Is the survey reward the same as Caniac Club rewards?
No. The Caniac Club is Raising Cane’s loyalty program: you sign up at raisingcanes.com or in the app, and it gives members offers and occasional free items on its own terms. The survey drawing is separate, run by a sweepstakes administrator, and does not touch your Caniac Club account.

Straight answers
Questions about the survey reward
Do I have to pay tax on the prize?
Under the rules, taxes on the prize are the winner’s responsibility, and a prize of this value may come with tax paperwork. The administrator will say what is needed when the winner is notified.
Can I pick a cash equivalent instead?
No. The reward card is the prize as awarded; no cash or substitution, except that the sponsor may substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the card becomes unavailable.
Is the drawing real?
Yes — it is a sweepstakes with published rules, a named administrator and an alternate free entry method, which is what the law requires of a genuine drawing. What is not real is any page promising a guaranteed reward for every survey.
Do unused meals carry over to the next month?
No. The card gives three Box Combos per calendar month; meals not used in a month expire at the end of it.
Can I give the prize to someone else?
No. The reward card cannot be sold, gifted or transferred under the rules.
