Short answer: open raisingcanes.com/survey, choose a language, type the 16- or 18-digit code from your receipt, answer the questions about that one visit, and leave your contact details at the end for the monthly “Free Cane’s for a Year” drawing. It takes a few minutes and needs no account.
Updated 15 September 2026 — the code expires in 3 days. Your receipt prints “(Expires in 3 days)” under the survey code. The official sweepstakes rules state no expiry period at all, so the receipt is the stricter source and the one to follow. Full detail on the three day window.
The whole survey at a glance
What are the screens in the Raising Cane’s survey?
The survey runs on Market Force’s site and has five parts. You cannot skip ahead, and you cannot go back to change the language once the code is entered, so it helps to know the order before you start.
Step 1
How do I open the Raising Cane’s survey?
Type raisingcanes.com/survey exactly as printed
Use any phone or computer browser. The address forwards to raisingcane.survey.marketforce.com. If you ordered through the Raising Cane’s app, tap the survey link in the email you received instead — it lands on the same survey.
How to know you are on the real survey: the page footer says “powered by Market Force” and the address bar shows marketforce.com. A page that asks for an account, a password or card details is not the survey — close it.
If the browser shows an error instead of the survey, the troubleshooting page covers the usual causes: a typo in the address, a VPN, a blocked cookie, or an old link.
Step 2
Which language should I choose?
Choose English or Español
The first screen only asks for a language. Both versions are the same survey and both count for the drawing. There is no language switch later — to change it, go back to the first screen before entering the code.
Step 3
How do I enter the survey code from my receipt?
Type the 16- or 18-digit code and press Start
The screen says “Please enter the 16 digit or 18 digit survey code from your receipt to begin” and shows four boxes. Type the digits in order; the page moves you from box to box. Then press Start.
- Digits only. Do not type dashes, spaces or the words around the code — the page adds its own dashes.
- An 18-digit code is normal. Keep typing; the boxes accept it.
- Check 0 against 8, 1 against 7 and 3 against 8 — they blur on thermal paper.
- If the page says invalid, expired or already used, go through the survey code checklist before trying again.
Step 4
What questions does the Raising Cane’s survey ask?
Rate the one visit on that receipt
The questions cover the order, the food, the speed, the service and the restaurant itself — for that visit only. Answer honestly; there is no “right” answer that improves your odds, because the drawing is random.
Finish in one sitting. Leaving mid-way and coming back later usually means starting over with the same code, which may then be refused as already used. Give yourself a quiet five minutes on a stable connection rather than doing it in the queue on a weak signal.
Step 5
How do I enter the “Free Cane’s for a Year” drawing?
Say yes to the sweepstakes and give contact details
The final screens ask whether you want to enter the monthly sweepstakes and, if so, for the details the administrator needs to reach a winner. This is optional: skip it and your feedback is still submitted, you are just not in the drawing.
The prize, the odds and the winner process are explained in full on the rewards page.
After the survey
What happens after I submit the survey?
Nothing arrives unless your entry is drawn. Winners are contacted by phone or email by the administrator, Million Dollar Media, LLC, and must return a signed liability waiver and publicity release within two days. There is no confirmation coupon, no validation code to write on your receipt and nothing to show at the counter.
You do get
- One entry in that month’s drawing (if you opted in)
- Your feedback recorded for that restaurant
- A phone call or email — only if you win
You do not get
- A coupon, discount or free chicken finger
- A validation code for the receipt
- Caniac Club points or credit
Good to know
How long does the Raising Cane’s survey take?
A few minutes. It is a single-visit questionnaire, not a long study. The most common reason a survey has to be restarted is a dropped connection, so start it where the signal is steady.
Do I need the receipt, or can I enter another way?
The receipt code is the normal route, but not the only one. The official rules also allow an emailed invitation after a mobile-app order and a free mail-in entry with no purchase at all; both are described on the main guide. There is no way to start the online survey without a code, though — the code screen is the front door.
Can I take the survey more than once?
You can take it for every receipt that has a code, and each one is read as feedback. For the sweepstakes, the rules allow one entry per person per monthly drawing, however you entered. A second survey in the same month does not become a second ticket.
Straight answers
Questions people ask while taking the survey
The page went blank after I pressed Start.
Usually a cookie or script was blocked, or the connection dropped. Reload once; if the code is then refused as used, the survey may have been recorded already. The fixes page walks through it.
Can I switch language after starting?
Go back to the first screen and choose the other language before entering the code. Switching mid-survey is not offered.
Is there a Raising Cane’s survey app?
No. The survey is a web page. The Raising Cane’s app is for ordering and the Caniac Club; it can email you a survey link after an order, but the survey itself still opens in a browser.
Can I take the survey on my phone?
Yes. The Market Force page works in any modern mobile browser — Chrome, Safari, Edge or Firefox.
Does the survey need a store number or the total?
No. The survey code identifies the visit on its own. Nothing else from the receipt is typed in.
Ready to take the survey?
Have the receipt in front of you, a steady connection and five quiet minutes.
